Kaimai New Zealand Tours provides professionally guided walks in the native bush for individuals, groups, and families.

A range of walks has been developed to provide several categories to suit all fitness levels. Fitness level requirements are stated in the descriptions of the individual walks.

Our highly experienced and knowledgeable guides will not only lead and guide you on your hike, they will also provide details of flora and fauna of the native bush as you are walking and discuss points of natural and historical interest along the way.

The itinerary of each walk will provide detailed information about what to expect, a list of clothing and equipment, health and safety guidelines, and additional information that it is recommended you read before starting out into the NZ bush.

Guide to Grades

All walks have stops to discuss native plants and local history. These are most frequent and longer on the leisurely and moderate walks.

• Leisurely: Mainly flat, a fairly slow walk for 2 to 4 hours.
• Moderate: Some short inclines but mainly flat for 3 to 6 hours
• Energetic: All walks have inclines, brisk walking for 4 to 8 hours per day
