Mount Maunganui cruise ship tours are for passengers of cruises stopping at Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
The itinerary provides you with a day out in the Kaimai Mamaku Forest Park native bush.
We meet all cruise ships docking at Mount Maunganui:
Dawn Princess, Diamond Princess, Sun Princess, Amsterdam, Clipper Odyssey, Crystal Symphony, Europa, Nautica, Pacific Dawn, Pacific Jewel, Princess Danae, Rhapsody of the Seas, Saga Ruby, Seven Seas Mariner, Silver Whisper, and Volendam.
Then why not do something different?
Come and experience our native forest and see the world famous iconic Kauri trees.
We pick you up from your ship and whisk you out into the cool verdant NZ bush in the Kaimai Mamaku Forest Park, just 40 minutes drive from downtown Mt Maunganui.

You will see plants endemic to NZ, that exist nowhere else in the world, some from the ancient Gondwanaland. Learn how the unique juvenile forms of the NZ trees had botanists fooled for years.
This day out takes you to one of the largest Kauri trees in the Kaimai Mamaku Forest Park.
We walk at a leisurely pace along a well formed track.
During Mount Maunganui Cruise Ship Tours, your knowledgeable guide will share stories of the NZ bush and tell you about plants you will see along the way.
Depending on the departure time of your ship, there is often time to stop on the way home to taste local wines or to have soak in a hot pool - bring your swimming gear or hire a private spa.
Comfortable walking shoes are a must; trainers or plimsolls are fine but no flip flops, sandals, or jandals please.

Cost $99 per person
Including lunch at the big Kauri tree.

For groups of 4 or more choose from other options, such as a more energetic walk through a large grove of the kauri trees, including river crossings and swimming holes, or if you have walking boots we can provide day hikes eg Tuahu Track North-south viewpoint walk, taking in views.
