Wairongomai Low level Loop is partly footpath in cutover lowland bush, and partly wider mining tramways.

This is an all day walk. Generally leaving Tauranga at 9:30am and returning at 4.30-5.30pm
Route easy to follow. Track narrow in places along the river, level on the pack tracks
Take swimming togs on a hot sunny day as there may be an opportunity for a swim in a natural river.

The Wairongomai Low Level Loop is a Leisurely graded walk.
We have also developed Moderate Grade and Energetic Grade versions for hiking this historic walkway.
